The Eletu of Oke -Eletu, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Eletu Adeniyi Ajayi, has urged residents of his community to be security conscious and be concerned about events around them.
He warned residents to be aware that people perpetrating evil acts like kidnapping are all over the place and that they should report whenever they see any suspicious movement in and around their locations.
Eletu Adeniyi, gave the charge on Wednesday while addressing the Muslim congregation after the Mubarak prayer at the Methodist Primary School, Oke Eletu, the venue of the Oke -Eletu Central Mosque’s Eid prayer.
The traditional leader observed the 2026 Eid prayer with other chieftains and residents of Oke -Eletu at the ground.
“I want to appeal to you to be concerned about events in and around your areas. It is important to be security conscious for our own safety.
“Let us be vigilant as regards what is happening around us; report whenever you see strange faces in your localities and whenever you suspect that something untoward is happening.
“These people that are perpetrating kidnaping are all around us and we have to be vigilant to curtail them,” Eletu Adeniyi pleaded.
He enjoined residents to always call the attention of their CDAs officials to such suspicious movements, and who will as a matter of urgency alert security agencies for appropriate action.
